An urgent council matter to be put on the next council meeting agenda

Fellow Pervy Councillors,

I must highlight an important issue that I feel needs to be brought to the attention of the Minister for Eurovision, Minister @forkinabucket, immediately.

Minister, it is my sad duty to announce that our newest Minister, Minister @jrr4film, has declared that he has no idea what Eurovision is.

Minister, might I suggest that this situation be rectified post-haste? I motion for the Minister for Eurovision to education the Minister for YouTube on the goodness that is Eurovision with some sort of explanatory council post, preferably with YouTube examples (as this is a medium that the Minister for YouTube understands very well).

Who will second my motion?

Sombrely, and sincerely,
Minister @painted_duchess

  1. A world without eurovision? Sounds like my mind of hell !!!!! (But most people's heaven!)

Basically eurovision is like American Idol except each contestant/band is from a different country. Each country then votes for their fave and the one with the most points wins. The 66th Eurovsion will happen in May 2011, in Germany, last years (deserved) winning country.

Notable past winners include ABBA for Sweden in 1974, Lulu in 1969, Celine Dion for Switzerland in 1988. However many have entered but lost such as Cliff Richard, Olivia Newton-John, Julio Iglesias and tATu.

As for youtube goes,go to the 'eurovision' channel to find last years songs plus www.diggiloo.net has the lyrics for every song ever performed in eurovision.

The most important thing to remember is that some of the entries are good, some are utter crap, others include laughable dance routines, others have terrible costumes (or even costume changes)and it a huge queenie camp fest.

I hope this fills the great void that was once in your life @jrr4film
